3.3 Release

Hello to our Pilot My-Cast users! In this release, Pilot My-Cast takes a big step in the user interface to become more like Garmin avionics. In addition, we have made major enhancements to stability, added XM Weather, the ability to organize your favorite charts, improvements to downloads and more. As always, we value the trust you have placed in us and appreciate your feedback.

We have enhanced the user interface for Pilot My-Cast to feel more like your favorite Garmin avionics.

Enhanced FPL and Direct-To Features

Whenever a departure or arrival is loaded into the active flight plan, a set of waypoints are automatically inserted.

The active flight plan may be graphically edited making it easy to add or delete waypoints from your route.

Direct-To now includes bearing, distance and coordinates.


NavTrack Connected to Current Location

The NavTrack is now even more useful while in the air. We've added the ability for the NavTrack to stay locked on your current position by simply dragging the slider onto the blue bar that indicates your total route progress. Now you can fly and monitor the most relevant data for your present position.


Integration to XM Weather

Garmin Pilot My-Cast now includes integration to XM to provide real-time weather in flight. The Mobile Link (purchased separately) connects to the required XM WX Receiver to provide a WiFi signal that sends the weather data to Pilot My-Cast.

Once you have purchased and installed your Baron Mobile Link, getting data into Pilot My-Cast is easy.

  1. Go into Settings on your iPad and choose Wi-Fi
  2. Choose MobileLink
  3. Launch Pilot My-Cast and choose Settings
  4. Select Weather Data and turn On the Baron Mobile Link connection


Download Improvements

We have simplified the process for downloading airport diagrams and procedures. With the new version of Pilot My-Cast, you can download all the charts for a specific airport by tapping one button!


Quick Access to Your Charts

With Pilot My-Cast, accessing charts for your flight is now quick and easy. Version 3.3 provides top level access to all the charts for your departure and destination airports by clicking on the Charts button . You can create your own binder to store your favorite charts. We’ve even included a filter feature to sort your charts by type. Charts made simple with Pilot My-Cast.


Settings Enhancements

Pilot My-Cast can be customized to meet your needs. Now you can decide whether to display your own ship position, set the opacity for your route path and even determine your screen brightness. You will find these features within the ‘Settings’ tab of Pilot My-Cast.
